On “Bring Him Out”
Some songs you write. Some you are handed. “Bring Him Out” features John Trudell and Steve Robideau, and I built it to hold their words with the respect they are owed.
Trudell spent his life insisting that people remember who they are. Putting his voice inside a piece of music is a way of keeping that insistence moving, out of the archive and back into the air.
The song is on YouTube now. Listen with the volume up and the phone face down.
